17 Months and Counting!

Quick disclaimer, I wrote this blog about 3 or more weeks ago, just posting it now.

I have really neglected to keep a journal of all of Malorie’s milestones. I think I know the month that something happened in, but not exact dates. I am finally beginning her baby book, in hopes to have her first year done by the time I have our second child.

So here is a glimpse of Malorie at 17 months-

Malorie’s words:

mama (although Malorie currently needs constant reminders to call me mama and not dada)
dada
Echo (her absolute favorite word and thing…if you don’t know echo is our dog)
Emma (although Emma is a girl at the daycare, she calls all little kids Emma)

-if asked to say a word she can usually say it, but these words are the ones she uses on a regular basis. And I’m sure I am missing a bunch.

Malorie also knows some animal sounds:

duck- “quack quack”
cow- “mooo”
lion- “roar”
monkey- “ahah”
puppy – woof “boof”

Activities she loves:

tormenting Echo which includes: chasing Echo, chasing Echo with her walker, trying to dress echo
dancing, and spinning in circles
running and running in a circle
giving fist bumps
running with her walker while yelling
yelling -we have a loud little girl =)
rolling on the floor
playing in the pool
anything having to do with being outside
reading books
blowing or popping bubbles
coloring
climbing up and down the couch
putting her head between her legs
flopping around like a fish on our bed
playing on the stairs
talking on the phone
finding shoes and trying to put them on herself or on mama dada or echo
saying hi to everyone she sees
blowing kisses, and giving kisses

 

 

Malorie has begun to give “real” hugs, where she wraps her little arms around your neck….LOVE!
